The Cincinnati 2030 District is a collaborative effort to create a network of healthy, sustainable, & high-performing buildings in the city of Cincinnati.


THE CINCINNATI 2030 DISTRICT is a membership organization facilitated by Green Umbrella, the region’s leading sustainability alliance. The District's mission is to create a network of healthy, high-performing buildings in the city of Cincinnati. Participating members make a collective commitment to reduce their buildings’ energy use, water consumption, and transportation emissions by 50% by the year 2030.

The work of the Cincinnati 2030 District continues our city's leadership in urban sustainability while creating a more livable, resilient community that is better able to attract a high caliber workforce and new economic development opportunities.

The Cincinnati metro area continues to emerge as one of the country’s leading sustainable cities and has ranked in the top three of the "Most Sustainable Metro Areas" in the nation by Site Selection Magazine six times since 2016.
