Stamford to Participate in New Sustainable CT Municipal Certification Program
On April 2, the City of Stamford passed a resolution supporting participation in the new Sustainable CT Municipal Certification Program, and officially registered to participate on April 18. Sustainable CT is a comprehensive, statewide certification program that provides a roadmap of best practices and resources to help communities become more efficient, healthy, safe, resilient, and livable. Sustainable CT has designed this program to support municipal pursuit of triple-bottom-line goals, addressing economic, social, and environmental sustainability.
The Stamford 2030 District and Innovate Stamford will assist the City of Stamford in the application process.
The Sustainable CT submission deadline is August 24. Municipalities from across Connecticut will have the opportunity to become Bronze or Silver Certified in the 2018 round and will be notified of their success in October.
