Healthy Buildings: Linking the Built Environment to Employee Wellbeing
How are concerns about individual and community health married to environmental health? Many “green” building standards have been developed across the globe that work to conserve natural resources in buildings. Some standards, include LEED, Green Globes and BREEAM also incorporate healthy practices such as reducing the use of harmful chemicals, limiting materials with volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and removing asbestos. In addition to these standards related directly to sustainability, the WELL Building Standard is the first of its kind, focused exclusively on human health and wellness. Please join us to discuss the integration of the built environment and employee health at the Conference Center, Four Landmark Square, Stamford, CT from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. on September 15, 2016.
