Stamford 2030 and CTGBC Present Free GPRO Operations & Maintenance Essentials Training
Stamford 2030 and CTGBC present a GPRO (Green Professional Building Skills) Operations & Maintenance Essentials training and certification program at NO COST for facility and property managers, building supervisors, and building system operators in commercial public and private buildings, including schools. All classes will be held at UCONN Stamford with the support of the U.S. Department of Energy and the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. Included in the training will be a GPRO Fundamentals of Building Green course. Instructor: Bill Leahy, LEED AP, CEM, with 35 years of energy management experience. This professional credential course series includes one half day and two full days of classes. One of these mornings will be paired with afternoon training on the free Energy Star benchmarking platform, Portfolio Manager. Lastly, there will be a 90 minute, multiple choice test. Successful candidates receive a GPRO Certificate, wallet card and hardhat stickers or arm badge.

Thursday, December 3rd – 8:00am - 1:00pm classroom; 1:00-3:00pm Computer Lab Operations & Maintenance Essentials and Energy Star platform benchmarking lab. Special lunch speaker Ricardo R. Jordan, Supervisor – Energy Efficiency, Eversource Energy. Lunch provided by Eversource.
Tuesday, December 8th – 8:00am - 3:00pm Allows for lunch and 90 minute test in afternoon. Lunch provided by CT BOMA (Building Owners & Managers Association).
