Sewage Heat Recovery Contract with King County

BACKGROUND: King County Wastewater Treatment Division (WTD) is looking to extract heat from their sewer pipes in an effort to recycle this resource and help buildings use carbon free sources of energy. Currently this resource is being flushed down the drain! In order to make this solution available to buildings throughout Seattle, they have drafted a template contract that will standardize the process and eliminate the need for Council review on every intended project.

HOW YOU CAN HELP: King County would like to get feedback from building owners on the terms of the contract to ensure it benefits all parties. Please review the draft version of the contract here and come ready to provide input on what aspects/changes would be beneficial at your sites as well as to learn how these solutions could improve the performance of your buildings.Click here to register.
