The Hyatt Regency Seattle—the first and only LEED Gold certified hotel in Seattle—has reduced its water consumption by 33% by utilizing the Aqua Recycle system, which filters recycled water for suspended particles and then sterilizes with UV and ozone before reuse. This system combined with efficient Braun tunnel washers provide a projected savings of 6.8 million gallons of water per year.
“Buildings are enormous consumers of natural resources. We have the ability to build smarter and more efficiently than ever before...It is our duty to be friendlier to the planet, thinking long term impact rather than just what delivers an attractive ROI.”
