Get ready for Pittsburgh 2030 District: Oakland!

After much anticipation, Green Building Alliance is proud to announce the Pittsburgh 2030 District’s expansion into Oakland at a public event on Thursday, August 28th from 1 until 3pm at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum. The Commonwealth’s education, medical and technology hub, Oakland is a driving force in innovation, pushing forward Pittsburgh’s international reputation as a great place to live, work, and play. The Pittsburgh 2030 District, a collaborative effort launched in Downtown in 2012, is an initiative that strives for a 50% reduction of energy use, water use, and transportation emissions by the year 2030, and we are proud to include a second boundary within the District. Dozens of Oakland Founding Partners who have already committed will be announced and celebrated. County Executive Rich Fitzgerald, Mayor William Peduto, Councilmen Kraus, Lavelle and Gilman, and The Heinz Endowments will help launch this important initiative’s strategic expansion. Please join us and register for this free event.
