This Inventory will inform emissions reduction strategies, goals, costs and opportunities that will be included in the City’s Climate Action and Adaptation Plan and other City programs, policies and plans.
The City of Grand Rapids’ Office of Sustainability, in partnership the Grand Rapids Programs & Policies for Equitable, Healthy & Zero Carbon Buildings Initiative (E.H. Zero), hired ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability USA to complete this 2019 Inventory of Community and Government Operations Greenhouse Gas Emissions, which includes recommendations for science-based emissions targets. The desired outcome of E.H.Zero is to co-create policies & programs with our community that will transform our city and create long-term impacts for substantive change.
