The strategic priorities of the Sierra Club Michigan Chapter's Great Lakes program is to protect and restore the Great Lakes ecosystem by eliminating the transport of bulk petroleum products and by-products, reducing impact of agricultural runoff in the Great Lakes watershed, cleaning up nutrient pollution, promoting the use of green infrastructure in Detroit to reduce nutrient runoff from intense storm events, improving coastal health and stopping projects/practices that pose a threat to the quality of our Great Lakes and our public health.
