Sustainable development is a concept that Mascaro has been instrumental in supporting since 1993 when they completed the Heinz Family Foundation and Office project, one of the first “green buildings” in the area. Their experience includes over 5.5 million square feet of LEED® recognized projects with an aggregate value in excess of $1 billion.
Mascaro's expertise in sustainable construction is a result of approximately 33 LEED professionals who have participated in roughly six million square feet in LEED construction projects. Additionally, Mascaro was the first contractor from the Western Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia area to be ranked by Engineering News-Records Top 100 Green Contractors. In 2014, Mascaro ranked No. 94, making the list for the seventh straight year in a row.
