The Greater Cincinnati Energy Alliance is a nonprofit organization with a mission to be the leading driver of activities that sustainably reduce carbon emissions in the Greater Cincinnati Community.
Since its creation in 2009, the Energy Alliance has become a leader in developing and implementing energy efficiency and renewable energy programs throughout the region to residential and commercial customers.
In 2010, the Energy Alliance was one of just 25 organizations nationwide awarded a competitive Better Buildings Neighborhood Program (BBNP) grant from the U.S. Department of Energy. The grant allowed the Energy Alliance to rapidly expand its offerings to local building owners and to develop an array of programs to generate energy savings.
The suite of services offered by the Energy Alliance today builds on the investments made under the BBNP grant. The organization is a leader in bringing Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing to commercial property owners in Ohio and Kentucky. On the residential side, its Get Efficient and Solarize programs provide homeowners with the assistance and support they need to make their energy efficiency and renewable energy projects a reality.
