Cleveland Thermal is the second oldest licensed franchise in Cleveland. District steam operations began in 1894. In 2017 Cleveland Thermal committed to converting the Hamilton plant from coal to high effiency steam production using natural gas. The converted plant has reduced overall carbon emissions by 84%. Using state-of-the-art emissions control and monitoring technology, they ensure the plant operates at optimum efficiency.
