2020 Midwest Regional Sustainability Summit

Join us for the 2019 Midwest Regional Sustainability Summit - the region's premier sustainability conference!

This year's theme is Cities of the Future: Becoming a Regenerative Region. Collectively, we will imagine how cities can become regenerative hubs that enhance rather than deplete our natural resources, promote a vibrant, resilient built environment and support healthy, equitable communities. By examining innovative strategies to link rural, urban and suburban communities, we can identify new opportunities to build regions that are both socially and environmentally resilient. Highlights for this year's summit include:

  • A keynote address by Majora Carter, an award-winning urban revitalization strategist, and corporate consultant.

  • A plenary session (speakers to be determined).

  • A lunchtime awards ceremony.

  • Breakout sessions where attendees can dive deeper into issues such as energy, transportation, innovations in water technology, institutional food purchasing, waste reduction, healthcare, cultivating emerging leaders, greening communities, and green workforce development opportunities.
