The 2030 Districts Network and CBRE have partnered to offer CBRE's BEEP training program to all 2030 District members at no charge. This is a valuable series of four sessions. To enroll, contact Cindy Cicigoi at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The program provides strategies, technologies and resources needed to reduce energy consumption while optimizing equipment, people and practices. The training is delivered in a four-part module series of live web sessions lasting one hour each. Training topics include a step by step guide on how to set up a building in EPA Energy star and track utility consumption. It also provides a host of no cost and low cost initiatives to implement and improve operating efficiencies and drive resource conservation as well as a detailed guide on typical financial metrics used to analyze and compare viability of capital projects and the resulting financial impact on the asset.
These sessions are appropriate for any professional engaged in building operations from engineers to property managers to real estate brokers.
The four-part module series is further described below. Each module is a stand alone course and can be taken in order or separately. Mulitiple participants can view the session together through one enrollment. All sessions are from 1:00 to 2:00 PM EST on Wednesdays.
Module 1: Offers an introduction to energy performance and utilizes the EPA’s Energy Star web tool to provide cost effective data collection and analysis of building energy, water use and savings potential.
Module 2: Reviews energy audit practices and describes the benefits for energy management. Also a low cost/no cost checklist guide of solutions is provided which can be implemented to reduce utility consumption while optimizing equipment performance.
Module 3: Examines the use of financial metrics and tools to calculate and sell capital enhancement projects to owners, asset managers and tenants by highlighting the positive financial and environmental impacts of improved energy performance.
Module 4: Presents the key components of an energy awareness program for tenants, owners, brokers and asset managers. The training focuses on how to create an effective awareness program and communicate accomplishments and benefits to key stakeholders.
